Modem driver IV for Windows Me - ThinkPad 1200, 1300

This package provides the modem driver for Windows Me.
This package enables or updates the modem function of the followingThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad i Series 1200, 1300 ( See model list below.)
Your machine type and model number can be found on the bottom of the system next to the bar code label.
See the Additional Information section below for instructions on what is new in this release and how to install this driver.
NOTE:
This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

I. Summary of changes
Version 3.1.80
- (New) Support for:
- ThinkPad i Series 1200(1161 - 43*, 73*, 93*, 94*, 96*)
- ThinkPad i Series 1300(1171 - 4**, 6MU, 8MU, 9MU)
- ThinkPad i Series 1300(1171 - 5CU, 5X*, 6XU, 7XG, 8XU, 9X*)
- (Fix) Unattended installation has a problem.
II. Installation instructions
NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\MODEM\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- If Add New Hardware Wizard window appears, click Cancel.
- Restart the system for the driver to take effect.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows Me.
- Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Open the System icon
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Expand the Modem section.
- Select Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Click the Driver File Details button.
- Highlight the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LTSMVCD.VXD. The file has the version number embedded.
