• (New) Support for Microsoft Windows XP
• (Fix) Changes audio output signal to prevent sound distortion in Windows XP. It also prevents possible damage to the speakers if sound is played at maximum volume for extended periods in Windows XP.

Symptoms corrected by version 5.12.01.5260

• (Fix) (Microsoft Windows 2000) AMR CDC MODEM conflicts with ISDN PC-card (09N3607).
• (Fix) (Windows XP) Modem does not work with IBM Microdrive.
  NOTE: To fix these Modem related problems, both Audio driver and Modem driver should be updated. See the Installation Instructions section NOTES for details.

Symptom corrected by version 5.12.01.5260a

• (Fix) Can not install by ThinkPad Software Installer.
  NOTE: There is no change to the driver itself. If you have already updated the system to this version, you do not need to apply this release.

Symptom corrected by version 5.12.01.5261 (Windows 98 only)

• (Fix) Modem may not work with a certain CDC/COMBO modem driver and Audio driver combination on Microsoft Windows 98.
  NOTE: There is no change to the driver for Windows 2000/XP. If the previous version has been installed on Windows 2000/XP, you do not need to apply this release.
