Rescue and Recovery - Recovery repair diskette

This package creates a bootable diskette that can be used to repair a corrupt boot sector on your primary hard drive. This package can also be used to reenable the F11 function as long as the service partition has not been removed from your hard drive.
This package supports Rescue and Recovery versions 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2. |

- Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
- Important: For Windows Vista systems, do not save the file in C:\ directory. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Be sure to select a path that does not have a space in its name.
Installing this update involves creating a bootable diskette. Before you begin, have a blank 1.44 MB diskette ready.
- Open the folder where rnr31_rrd.exe file is located.
- Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette into the diskette drive.
- Double-click the rnr31_rrd.exe icon.
- Follow the onscreen prompts. The necessary files will be extracted to the diskette.

- Open the folder where rnr40_rrd.exe file is located.
- Insert a blank 1.44MB diskette into the diskette drive.
- Right-click rnr40_rrd.exe and then click Properties.
- On the Compatibility tab, select the check box for Run this program in compatibility mode.
- In the drop-down list, select Windows XP (Service Pack 2), then click OK.
- A program shortcut to this rnr40_rrd.exe will be generated in the current folder, double-click the shortcut icon.
- Follow the onscreen prompts. The necessary files will be extracted to the diskette.
- Close all open applications.
- Leave the diskette in the A: drive, and shut down and restart the computer to start the recovery repair program.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
