Obtain instructions for extracting a diskette image

1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. Important: For Windows Vista systems, do not save the file in C:\ directory. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Be sure to select a path that does not have a space in its name.

Installing this update involves creating a bootable diskette. Before you begin, have a blank 1.44 MB diskette ready.

1. Open the folder where rnr31_rrd.exe file is located.
2. Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette into the diskette drive.
3. Double-click the rnr31_rrd.exe icon.
4. Follow the onscreen prompts. The necessary files will be extracted to the diskette.

1. Open the folder where rnr40_rrd.exe file is located.
2. Insert a blank 1.44MB diskette into the diskette drive.
3. Right-click rnr40_rrd.exe and then click Properties.
4. On the Compatibility tab, select the check box for Run this program in compatibility mode.
5. In the drop-down list, select Windows XP (Service Pack 2), then click OK.
6. A program shortcut to this rnr40_rrd.exe will be generated in the current folder, double-click the shortcut icon.
7. Follow the onscreen prompts. The necessary files will be extracted to the diskette.

1. Close all open applications.
2. Leave the diskette in the A: drive, and shut down and restart the computer to start the recovery repair program.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
