After upgrading to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, while the user plays AVI file whose codec is Cinepak or Indeo3 format, the window of the tag "Overlay " in the display property is grayed out. The user cannot change Overlay Adjustments (Brightness, Contract, Saturation, Hue, and Gamma). Please see the following figure.

Any of the following ThinkPad systems with Microsoft Windows Service Pack 2 installed:
- ThinkPad A20m, A21m, A20p, A21p, A21e, A22m, A22p
- ThinkPad A22e Celeron Model, Pentium Model
- ThinkPad A30, A31, A31p, A32
- ThinkPad R40, R40e
- ThinkPad R50, R50p
- ThinkPad R51 (Machine Type 1829, 1830, 1831, and 1836)

Nothing, the user cannot change the overlay adjustments while playing AVI file (Cinepak/Indeo3).
This problem is caused by the design change of Windows XP SP2. |
