Device Manager reports Error Code 28 when USB 2.0 devices are attached to systems with Windows XP Service Pack 2 - ThinkCentre

After upgrading to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Device Manager reports error code 28 under the USB 2.0 device properties tab, when a USB 2.0 device is attached to the system. The device doesn't lose any functionality and the error code can be ignored.
All USB 2.0 systems with Microsoft Windows XP preload that includes previous versions of the Drive Letter Access (DLA) software
If your current preload includes DLA software prior to version 4.60, you must upgrade to the current version of DLA.
Use the following link to obtain DLA and Veritas DLA software for your system:
Older Drive Letter Access (DLA) software versions before version 4.60 cause this error after Windows XP SP2 has been installed. DLA versions before 4.60 were installed in older preloaded versions of XP.
