Symptoms corrected by the latest Configuration utility for Windows NT - ThinkPad General

Version 4.40a
  • (New) Package structure has been re-organized.
  • (New) Support for ThinkPad X30.
  • (Fix) LCD advanced setting does not work with an error message on ThinkPad 5xx/6xx machines when new display driver is installed.

Version 4.41

  • (New) Support for ThinkPad R40.
  • (New) Support for uninstallation of all modules.
  • (New) Changed default installation folder name.
  • (Fix) The system may hang or 1GB Microdrive may not be recognized when resuming from hibernation with the 1GB Microdrive.
    Note: This issue occurs only when you use a USB device and the Microdrive with CardWizard. To solve this issue, install the registry patch as follow:
    1. Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
    2. Click Start and then click Run.
    3. Type C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\Utilities\TPPMFIX.REG and click OK.
      Note: The above path is the default location of the registry patch. It may vary depending on your environment. Please specify the directory name you installed this package to.
    4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
    5. Restart the system for the registry changes to be effective.

Version 4.41a

  • (Fix) Installation may not complete on ThinkPad A21e.

Version 4.42

  • (New) Support for ThinkPad T40 and X31
  • (New) Support for Password Beep setting for T40, X31, and onwards.

Version 4.43

  • (New) Support for ThinkPad T41.
  • (New) Support for hard drive switching to another machine after installation.
  • (Fix) The system may hang up or has some problem when resuming from suspend or hibernation.
    Note: This issue occurs only when you install CardWizard. To solve this issue, please install the registry patch as follows
    1. Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
    2. Click Start and then click Run.
    3. Select C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\Utilities\TPPMFIX.REG and click OK.
      Note: The above path is default one. It may vary depending on your environment. Please specify the directory name you installed this package to.
    4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
    5. Restart the system for the registry to be effective.

  • (New) Support for ThinkPad X40.

Version 4.45

  • (New) Support for ThinkPad X40 new models and ThinkPad T43/X32.
