1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Extract this package onto the hard drive. The default location is C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\HDAMODEM.
3. Click Start.
4. Click Run.
5. Specify HXFSETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
6. The device driver will be installed automatically. If the message, "Digital Signature Not Found" appears, click the OK button to continue installing.
7. If needed, restart the system.

1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Open Control Panel, click Start, then select Control Panel.
3. In the Control Panel window, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
4. Select Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP.
5. Click Change/Remove on Windows XP.
6. The Modem device driver will be uninstalled automatically.
7. If needed, restart the system.
