Memory installation movie

To remove the DIMM:

1. Remove the battery pack:
   1. Turn the computer off.
   2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.
   3. Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
   4. Unlock battery latch one.
   5. Unlock and hold battery latch two, and then slide out the battery pack
      Here is a closer look at a battery pack latch.
2. Remove the DIMM:
   1. Loosen the two captive screws on the access panel and lift it off.
   2. Press the latches out to release the DIMM, allowing the DIMM to rotate up.
   3. Lift out the DIMM and place it on an ESD protected surface.
   4. Use the same procedure for the optional DIMM, if installed.
