  • 2007 - 8Yx, 8Zx and 9Zx
  • 2008 - 8Zx and 9Zx
  • 2623 - 8Yx

Installation instructions
Note: If you wish to upgrade Power Manager, please uninstall it first.
  1. Start SUSE Linux.
  2. In a terminal window, type su (switch user) command to obtain root privileges.
  3. Type uname -r to determine the RPM package.
    Example: 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp, then l79p12us-2.6.16-21-smp.rpm
    2.6.16.21-0.8-bigsmp, then l79p12us-2.6.16-21-bigsmp.rpm
  4. Copy the RPM file to the hard drive, for example, /home/tvt directory.
  5. Change directory to the location where you saved the file.
  6. Type rpm -ihv [Package Name].rpm.
    Example: rpm -ihv l79p12us-2.6.16-21-smp.rpm

Uninstall
  1. Start SUSE Linux.
  2. In a terminal window, type "su" (switch user) command to obtain root privileges.
  3. Type "rpm -e L79P".

Determining which version is installed
In a terminal window, type "rpm -qa L79P" to display the current build version of Power Manager that is installed on the system.
