This package provides the Intel Integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM) driver for Microsoft Windows WIndows XP Service Pack 2

This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad R400, R500
- ThinkPad T400, T400s, T500
- ThinkPad W500, W700, W700ds
- ThinkPad X200, X200s, X200 Tablet, X301

Note:
- The software for Windows Vista is included in the Windows Vista package. You have no need to install this software on Windows Vista.
- To install this package, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and up should be installed before installation.
- If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

Installation instructions

Note:

  • If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
Manual Install
  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default location is C:\Drivers\Win\TPM.
  3. Click Start and click Run, then type CMD and click OK.
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE -nopicon with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
    Example: C:\Drivers\Win\TPM\Setup.exe -nopicon
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.
Determining which version is installed
To check the version of the device driver that is installed on your system, follow the instructions below:
  1. Start Windows XP.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Performance and Maintainance , then click System.
  4. Click the Hardware tab.
  5. Click Device Manager.
  6. Expand the System devices category, and double click Intel Trusted Platform Module.
  7. Click Driver tab and check the Driver Version.
