This package provides the audio driver for Microsoft Windows Vista users. The audio driver enables or updates the audio function of Conexant audio.

Clean install
- Start Windows.
- Extract this package onto the hard drive.
- Run Command Prompt as Administrator Click Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt Right click -> Run as Administrator
- Specify "SETUP.EXE" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
- The device driver will be installed automatically.
- If needed, restart the system.
Note: This is for system administrators use only.
- Start Windows.
- Extract this package onto the hard drive.
- Run Command Prompt as Administrator Click Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt Right click -> Run as Administrator
- Specify "setup -s" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
- The device driver will be installed automatically.
- If needed, restart the system.
- Start Windows.
- Open Control Panel. Click Start, and select Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, click "Uninstall a program" which under "Programs".
- Select "Conexant HD Audio".
- Click Uninstall. If system pup-up "Programs and Features" dialog, click "Yes". Then, syetem will pop-up "User Account Control" dialog, click "Allow".
- Device Utility will be uninstalled automatically.
- Click "Yes" to restart system.
- Click Start, and select Control Panel.
- Click System and Maintenance.
- Click System, select Device Manager. Syetem will pop-up "User Account Control" dialog, click "Continue".
- Double click "Sound, video and game controllers"
- Right click at "Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221", select Uninstall.
- Enable "Delete the driver software for this device", click OK.
- Device Driver will be uninstalled automatically.
- If needed, restart the system.
