The ThinkPad 256GB Fixed Disk Encryption (FDE) Solid State Drive (SSD) (43N3417) option incorporates nonvolatile flash memory technology for worry- free and speedy storage of your valuable data. Additional features in- clude:
- Improved read/write performance compared to standard 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm mobile standard hard drives
- Large 256 GB storage capacity
- Noiseless operation
- Improved reliability - Compared to standard mobile hard drives there are no moving parts
- Lower power consumption than standard mobile hard drive increasing system battery life
- Lighter weight than standard mobile hard drives
