This package provides the video driver for Microsoft Windows NT users.

The video driver enables or updates the video function of the following ThinkPad system:
- ThinkPad 380, 380D, 380E, 380ED, 380XD
- ThinkPad 385D, 385ED, 385XD
- ThinkPad 560X, 560Z
- ThinkPad 600

DO NOT USE WITH THE THINKPAD 380Z

II. Installation instructions
  1. Boot Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privilege.
  2. Extract the drivers onto the hard drive.
  3. Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'.
  4. Double click on the 'Display' icon in the window. The Display Settings dialog window will appear.
  5. Click on the 'Settings' tab.
  6. Click on the 'Display Type...' button. The Display Type dialog window will appear.
  7. Click on the 'Change...' button in the Adapter Type field. The Select Device dialog window will appear.
  8. Click on the 'Have Disk...' button in the dialog box.
  9. In the 'Copy manufacturing file's from:' dialog box, type " C:\DRIVERS\WNT\VIDEO\ " and click the "OK" button. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. The device list will appears.
  10. Select the 'NeoMagic MagicGraph 128Family' choice from the Models field; then click on the 'OK' button.
  11. Click on the 'Yes' button to confirm that you are installing a third-party driver.
  12. Click on the 'OK' button after the copy is done.
  13. Click on the 'Close' button to close the 'Display Type' window.
  14. Click on the 'Close' button to close the 'Display Properties' window.
  15. Click on the 'Restart Now' button when Windows NT prompts you to restart.

  16. Click on the 'OK' button, when the 'Invalid Display Settings' message appears.
  17. The 'Display Properties' window appears. Select your screen parameter from the color palette, desktop area, and refresh frequency.
  18. Click on the 'Test' button and make sure the selected mode is displayed correctly on the screen.
  19. Click on the 'OK' button in the 'Display Properties' window.

III. Determining which version is installed
1. Start and logon Windows NT.
2. Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'.
3. Double-click on the 'Display' icon.
4. Select on the 'Settings' tab.
5. Click on the 'Display Type...' button.
6. The version number will be in the section called "Driver Information"
For example, 3.34.00,4.0.34 stands for ver 3.34.00Q.
