Card Soft PCMCIA driver for Windows 95 - ThinkPad General

Notes:

• This driver will now automatically extract to your hard disk drive. It will only extract under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, and Microsoft Windows NT. The extraction process will not work with any other operating system.
• Click here for instructions on how to transfer files greater than 1.44 MB to multiple floppies.

Attention:
This driver can only be used with the machines on the supported list on this page. Use of these drivers with any other machine is strictly prohibited.


Currently CardWorks is not backwards compatible with the retail version of Windows 95 (OSR0). CardWorks currently supports only Windows 95 (OSR2). Please use native mode support if you need to use Windows 95 (OSR0). Of course, using native Windows 95 (OSR0) support will disallow use of some of the special features and advantages of the CardWorks product (e.g. Zoom Video support, CardSoft support).

Installation Procedure
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Remove any PC Cards from the computer.
3. Extract the drivers onto the hard drive.
4. Click on Start -> Run...
5. Add DISK1 to the the full path name where you unpacked the driver files, specify SETUP.EXE, and press Enter.
The default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\PCCARD\ so you would execute SETUP.EXE from C:\DRIVERS\W9X\PCCARD\DISK1
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Accept all defaults during CardWorks installation process.
7. Reboot the system.
