I. Summary of changes

Version 4.12
- (New) Initial release for ThinkPad A20m, A20p and T20.

Version 4.31
- (Fix) Fix for modem safe mode issue.

Version 4.32
- (Fix) Fix to prevent system hang on reboots when the OS does not shut down the card.
- (Fix) Fix to prevent system hang when F1 is pressed during POST.

II. Installation instructions

1. Confirm that the IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem(3Com) and the LAN diagnostics are installed.
2. Extract the Managed Boot Agent ROM image to a directory on your hard drive.
3. Click Start, select Programs, choose 3Com NIC Utilities then select 3Com NIC Doctor.
4. Select the NIC to upgrade in the Network Interface Card (NIC) pulldown menu.
5. Click the MBA tab.
6. Click the Browse button to locate the updated MBA ROM image (*.BIN).
7. Click the Update MBA ROM button to update the MBA ROM.
8. If you checked the option to save your current MBA ROM image, type the name and location to save the file.

NOTE: The new MBA ROM will take effect on reboot.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Confirm that the IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem(3Com) and the LAN diagnostics are installed.
2. Click Start, select Programs, choose 3Com NIC Utilities then select 3Com NIC Doctor.
3. Click the MBA tab. The Managed Boot Agent version will be displayed on this tab.
