I. Summary of changes

- (Fix) Enumerate ID change.
NOTE: If you install the new audio driver (version 5.12.01.5260), you need to install this modem driver. If you are using the system without any problem and have not installed the audio driver (version 5.12.01.5260), you do not need to install this modem driver (version 3.1.97).
II. Installation instructions
NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\MODEM\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- If Add New Hardware Wizard window appears, click Cancel.
- Restart the system for the driver to take effect.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows Me.
- Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Open the System icon
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Expand the Modem section.
- Select Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Click the Driver File Details button.
- Highlight the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LTSMVCD.VXD. The file has the version number embedded.
