This package provides the IBM High Rate Wireless LAN Mini PCI combo card driver for Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, Me, and 98.

This package enables or updates the IBM Wireless LAN function of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad R30
- ThinkPad R31
- ThinkPad R32 (*1)

Notes:
(*1) Supports only Windows XP, 2000, 98
- The High rate wireless Mini PCI firmware update is available in another package. A link is provided below.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

  • (Fix) Can not install by ThinkPad Software Installer.
    Note: There is no change to the driver itself. If you have already updated the system to this version, you do not need to apply this release.

Installation instructions
  1. Start Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000. For Windows 2000, log on with a user ID authorized as an administrator.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
  3. Click Start and then click Run.
  4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANACT\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and then click OK.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Double-click the Prism icon on the system tray.
  2. Click the About tab on Configuration Utility.
  3. It lists the version of drivers and firmware.
