I. Summary of changes

(New) Initial release - support for ThinkPad R31

II. Installation instructions
NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.

1. Start Windows NT and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, then click Run.
4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\MODEM\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
6. If the Insert Disk window appears, click OK.
7. If the Files Needed window opens, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\MODEM in the Copy files from: field, then click OK.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen.
9. Restart the system for the driver to take effect.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Start Windows NT.
2. Click Start, select Find, then click Files or Folders.
3. Click the Name & Location tab.
4. In the Named: field, type LTSM.SYS.
5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
6. Click the Find Now button. Windows will now search your hard disk drive for the specified file. If the file is not found, then the modem driver is not installed.
7. In the Found part of the window, right-click the file LTSM.SYS located in \WINNT\SYSTEM32\ and select Properties.
8. Click the Version tab to view the driver version.
