The memory options listed here are for the following ThinkPad systems. (Each system name contains a link to instructions for installing and removing the memory.)

Notes: PC2700 memory options are supported by the following ThinkPad systems: G41, R50, R50e, R50p, R51, T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p, and X40 Systems that support PC2100 memory The ThinkPad R50e and T40 systems will run PC2700 memory at 266MHz All PC2700 memory is 333MHz Double Data Rate (DDR) Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM), front side bus clock frequency 400MHz, non-parity, 200-pin SODIMM, with gold-plated leads If the memory modules are mixed (for example, using both PC 2100 and PC 2700) or the system supports only PC2100 memory, then the system memory will run at 266MHz.
