This package provides PC Doctor DOS ThinkPad diagnostics.
The following Thinkpad systems are supported: - ThinkPad A30, A30p - ThinkPad A31, A31p
Notes: - PC Doctor for DOS provides benchmark tests, for example, a test to indicate how much battery power remains. Results of such tests might differ from the specifications provided in the user's guide and catalog. The results vary depending on the testing method and the testing environment, and ThinkPad does not guarantee these results. - This progra m is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

Version 2.0.1361
- (Fix) Expansion ROM Checksum FAIL is reported in Memory Contents.

Note: This procedure requires three blank high density diskettes.
- Make a temporary directory (for instance, C:\Temp) on the hard disk drive.
- Download both files to the temporary directory created in step 1.
- Insert a blank diskette in the floppy disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the Open dialog box, specify the file name with the full path where you stored the file in step 2. (for instance C:\Temp\filename.exe) Then press the Enter key. Follow the instructions to create each diskette.
- Repeat steps 2 through 6 until both diskettes are created, then proceed to Diagnostics procedure to test the system.
- Power off the system.
- Insert the PC Doctor DOS diskette labeled pcdr1ea.exe into the diskette drive and power on the system.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: PC Doctor DOS provides some benchmark tests, for example, a test to indicate how much battery power remains. The results vary depending on the testing method and the testing environment, and ThinkPad does not guarantee these results.
- Run PC-Doctor DOS.
- Click the Quit menu and select About to display the version number.
Note: This version information does not show minor version. For example, the version 2.0.651a shows version 2.0.651.
