II. Installation instructions
Manual install

1. Start Windows NT4.0.
2. Logon with administrative privileges.
3. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
4. Click Start, then click Run.
5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
6. Follow the instructions.
7. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

Manual uninstall

1. Start Windows NT4.0.
2. Logon with administrative privileges.
3. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel.
5. Select Agere Systems AC'97 Modem.
6. Click Add/Remove.
7. Click Yes in the confirmation window.
8. When asked to restart the system, click Yes.

Unattended installation
This is for system administrators' use only.

1. Start Windows NT4.0.
2. Logon with administrative privileges.
3. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive. (Assume the location of extracted files is C:\Drivers\WNT\Modem)
4. Click Start, then click Run.
5. Type C:\Drivers\WNT\Modem\Setup.EXE -S, then click OK.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Start Windows NT.
2. Double-click My Computer.
3. Double-click C:.
4. Double-click Winnt or Winnt40 folder.
5. Double-click System32 folder.
6. Find the file named AGRSMNT.SYS, right-click the icon, then click Properties.
7. You can find the driver version in the Version tab.
