II. Installation instructions

1. Start Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP. For Windows NT/2000/XP, logon with a User ID of Administrator.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, then click Run.
4. Type [Program Path]\SETUP, and click OK. Program Path is the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

NOTES:

• If you have ThinkPad Configuration version 4.15 or earlier installed, uninstall it first and reboot before installing this package. Then install the following packages:
  • ThinkPad Configuration package
    
  • IBM ThinkPad Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management Features package

Silent Installation Guide (for Unattended Installation support)
NOTE: This is for system administrators' use only.
When you type [Program Path]\SETUP in the above installation guide, add -S -SMS parameter to SETUP. (You need to type [Program Path]\SETUP -S -SMS in Run... )

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Start the Personalization Editor program.
2. Click the menu button on the left side of the main window.
3. Select the About menu. About dialog will be displayed. The version will be displayed on the dialog.
