This package installs an update to the Microsoft Windows 98SE or NT 4.0 device driver for the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz audio adapter that comes preinstalled in your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 90MB of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This update package is intended for IBM NetVista systems that come with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz audio adapter.

Downloading the update

  1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
  2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.


Installing the update

  1. Click Start, select Find, then click Files and folders.
  2. Type 909z01us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the 909z01us.exe file you just downloaded.
  3. Double-click the 909z01us.exe icon.
  4. Click Next. Read the license agreement.
  5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\909Z010US.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is complete.

Removing the drivers
For Windows 98SE

  1. Go to Windows Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Select the Santa Cruz driver from the list and click the Add/Remove button to remove the drivers. This will remove the drivers from the system.
  3. Reboot system to fully uninstall the driver.

For Windows NT 4.0

  1. Go to Windows Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Select 'Santa Cruz' from the list and click the Add/Remove button to remove the drivers.
  3. Reboot system to fully uninstall the driver.
