Attention: This software can only be used with the machines on the supported list in this page. Use of these drivers with any other machine is strictly prohibited.
This diskette provides 'PC-Doctor DOS' ThinkPad diagnostics.
Only the followin g models are supported:
- ThinkPad 240
- ThinkPad 390E, 390X
- ThinkPad 570, 570E
- ThinkPad 600X
- ThinkPad i Series 1157
- ThinkPad i Series 1400*
- ThinkPad i Series 1500*
*Only the following i Series 1400, 1500 Model and Type numbers are supported:
2611 - 40x, 412, 452, 456, 47 x, 49x, (43x's except 434, 435)
2621 - All of them
2651 - All of them
Note:
- Your machine type is located on the bottom of your system, just above the bar code symbol.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

- (New) Support ZIP Drive test and LS-120 Drive test. (ThinkPad 570/570E and ThinkPad 600X only)
- (New) Support Crystal Audio test. (ThinkPad 600X only)
- (Fix) CD-ROM and DVD test returns 'N/A' if media is not inserted into the device.
- (Fix) Unsupported test item appears in the menu.

II. Diagnostics procedure
- Power off the system.
- Insert the PC-Doctor DOS diskette into the diskette drive and power on the system.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note:
PC-Doctor DOS provides some benchmark tests, for example, a test to indicate how much battery power remains. Results of such tests might differ from the specifications provided in the user's guide and catalog. The results vary depending on the testing method and the testing environment, and IBM does not guarantee these results.
