Conexant Winmodem driver for Windows 95, 98 - Aptiva / NetVista |
This package installs an update to the Microsoft Windows 95/98 device driver for the Conexant HCF V90 56K PCI modem adapter that comes preinstalled in your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 8 MB of space on your hard disk (C: drive).
This update package is intended for IBM Aptiva and IBM NetVista systems which have a Conexant HCF V90 56K PCI modem adapter.
For IBM NetVista 6838 and 6848 systems this driver will function only under Windows 98.

Downloading the update
- Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
- When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Installing the update
- Click Start, highlight Find, then click Files and folders.
- Type qq6z08us.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the qq6z08us.exe file you just downloaded.
- Double-click the icon for qq6z08us.exe. The directory should remain C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QQ6Z08US.
- Click Next.
- Click I Agree.
- Click Finish.
- Click Yes.
- Click OK. Follow the onscreen prompts and choose to reboot at the end of installation.
