I. Summary of changes

II. Installation instructions

  1. Start Windows 2000.
  2. Extract the driver to the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
  4. Double-click the System icon.
  5. In the System Properties, click the Hardware tab.
  6. Click the Device Manager button.
  7. Click Other Devices.
  8. Double-click Unknown device.
  9. Check Location is on Intel 82371AB/EB PCI... If correct, proceed to the next procedure. Otherwise, check the other Unknown device.
  10. Select Driver folder.
  11. Click the Update Driver button. The Update Device Driver Wizard appears.
  12. Click the Next button.
  13. Select Specify a location.
  14. Click the Next button.
  15. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard, click the Browse button.
  16. Specify the directory where the driver files are extracted. Then, click the OK button.
  17. Click the Next button. Setup files are now being copied .
  18. Click the Finish button.

Uninstall instructions

  1. Start Windows 2000.
  2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  4. Select Universal Pointer Device Driver.
  5. Click the Change/Remove button.
  6. Click the Next button to uninstall the driver.
  7. Click the Finish button to exit the uninstallation program.
  8. Click the Yes button to restart the program.

III. Determining which version is installed

  1. Click Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Pointer Devices icon.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Click the About tab.
  5. The Driver program version contains the version information.
