Ethernet driver for Intel PRO/100 SP Mini PCI combo card for DOS, Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP - ThinkPad A21e (2655), A22e, A22m, A22p, T22, X21

This package provides the Ethernet driver for DOS, Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP.
The Ethernet driver enables or updates the Ethernet function of the following ThinkPad computers with the following adapters:

-Intel (R) PRO/100 SP Mobile SP Combo Adapter
-IBM 10/100 EtherJet Mini-PCI Adapter with 56K Modem
-Intel MiniPCI Ethernet Card.

This release supports the following systems:

- ThinkPad A21e Model 2655
- Thinkpad A22m, A22p, A22e
- Thinkpad T22
- Thinkpad X21(*1)(*2)
- ThinkPad i Series 1800(*3)

NOTES:
*1 DOS is not supported.
*2 Linux is not supported.
*3: Japanese models only (Windows 2000 and Me support only)
The DOS driver is included only for unattended installation purpose.
- The Modem drivers are available in a separate package.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

Version Build 28811

  • (Fix) After installing Intel Packet Protect and enabling it, network communication fails after resuming from suspend or hibernation mode under Microsoft Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows Me.
  • (Fix) Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 driver when connecting to a RAS server (Remote Access Server) through the modem, if a network drive is mapped, the modem connection will be disconnected.
  • (New) Microsoft Windows XP support

To check the version of the device driver that is installed on your system, follow the instructions below:
Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP:

  1. Right-click My Computer.
  2. Click Find.
  3. Type one of the NDIS driver names in Named: field. For example, if you are using Windows 98, type E100bnt5.sys in the field.
  4. Click Find Now. The NDIS driver(s) is(are) listed. If it does not list the NDIS driver, the Ethernet device driver is not installed in your system.
  5. Right-click the NDIS driver that is found in the Windows folder.
  6. Click Properties.
  7. Click Version.
  8. Click Product Version in the Items name: field.
