Video driver (SuperSavage/IXC16) for Windows NT 4.0 - ThinkPad T23

This package provides the video driver for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 users.

The video driver enables or updates the video function of the following ThinkPad computer:
- ThinkPad T23

NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard disk drive. It will only extract under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Me, Microsoft Windows NT, and Microsoft Windows 2000.

I. Summary of changes
Version 12.02.16

  • (Fix) Blackout/system hang occurs with Appian video card in docked configuration.

Version 12.02.32

  • (Fix) After user shutdown system with LCD+TV simultaneous display, next time user cannot set LCD+CRT simultaneous display.
  • (Fix) String HotkeyDesc appears at Services applet in control panel.

Version 12.02.47

  • (Fix) Only PAL selection is available in TV standard setting when enabling TV out.
  • (Fix) User cannot set LCD+CRT when TV is not attached after shutting down system with LCD+TV.
  • (Fix) When resuming from suspend while system lock at logon screen, LCD screen is blacked out.

Version 12.02.52

  • (Fix) Task tray icons disappear on resume from suspend.

II. Installing

  1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the video drivers for Windows NT to the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to install the video driver. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  5. Following the instructions on the screen.

III. Uninstalling

NOTE: The utilities should be removed as well if they were installed with the driver.

  1. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  3. Select SuperSavage and Utilities in the list box.
  4. Click the Add/Remove button to remove the display driver.

NOTE: If necessary, the uninstall procedure will reset the system to VGA

IV. Unattended installation

  1. Start Windows NT 4.0, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. Run SETUP.EXE in extracted folder with -S -SMS option. For example, C:\DRIVERS\VIDEO\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS.

V. Determining which version is installed

  1. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Display icon.
  3. Select the S3Info Plus tab.
  4. Check S3 Driver field. You can confirm 4.1024.1202.0052. This means version 12.02.52.
