This package provides the Wireless LAN driver for Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter for Microsoft Windows NT4.0.
This package supports Wireless LAN installed models of the following systems: - ThinkPad R40 (Machine Types 2722, 2723, 2724) (*1) - ThinkPad T40, T41, T42 - ThinkPad X31
NOTE: *1: Machine Types 2681, 2682, 2683 are not supported. |

I. Summary of changes
Version 1.1.5.0 - 1RWA01WW
- (New) Support for ThinkPad R40 (Machine Types 2722, 2723, 2724), T40, T41, T42 and X31
II. Installation instructions
NOTES:
- Windows NT4.0 Service Pack 6a or later is required.
- ThinkPad Software Installer does not support Windows NT4.0.
- Access Connections does not support Windows NT4.0.

Both of the following components need to be installed:
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter
- Intel(R) Sebring API
- In some cases, you may need to re-enter SSID and/or WEP keys after updating the driver.
- Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Network icon. The Network Configuration dialog box is displayed if this is the first time configuring the Network. If not, go to step 20.
(First Network Configuration)
- Click the Yes button.
- Select Wired to the network.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Select from list button.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANINT\PROW2100\WINNT4 in the Insert Disk dialog box. If you have extracted the files to a different location, specify PROW2100\WINNT4 directory under this location instead.
- Click the OK button.
- Select Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 Mini PCI Adapter.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Next button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Follow the prompts for any Windows NT installation disks by typing the path to the directory that contains Windows NT files. (It is usually C:\i386 directory or Windows NT CD-ROM's X:\i386 directory.)
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click the Finish button when the installation completes.
- Click Yes when prompted to restart the system.
(Adding Wireless LAN to Network Configuration)
- Click the Adapters tab.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANINT\PROW2100\WINNT4 in the Insert Disk dialog box. If you have extracted the files to a different location, specify NT4 directory under this location instead.
- Click the OK button.
- Select Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 Mini PCI Adapter.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Close button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Yes when prompted to restart the system.
Installation Instructions for Intel(R) PROSet II
- Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANINT\APPS\PROSSE\WINNT4\WSETUP.EXE If you have extracted the files to a different location, specify this location instead.
- If asked to remove the Intel(R) PRO Intelligent Installer, uninstall this software from the Add/Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel and do the step 22 again.
- Follow the instructions.
- Click Finish and then Yes when prompted to restart the system.
Unattended Installation Instructions for Windows NT 4.0
NOTES:
- This is for system administrators only.
- See the attached README file inwi1rnt.txt
III. Uninstall instructions
- Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
- Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Network icon.
- Click the Adapters tab.
- Select Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 Mini PCI Adapter.
- Click the Remove button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Yes when prompted to restart the system.
IV. Determining which version is installed
- Click Start, select Settings and click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Intel(R) PROSet II icon or the PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 Mini PCI Adapter icon on the taskbar.
- Click Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 Mini PCI Adapter.
- Click the General tab and then Details button. The version of the driver is displayed.
