| Effective July 31, 2003, IBM is no longer licensed to distribute new PCs with Microsoft Windows 98SE or NT Workstation. Microsoft Corporation has announced an end of the distribution agreement that allows IBM to deliver recovery CDs for these operating systems to end users who have purchased a new PC with one of these operating systems prior to July 31, 2003. IBM has acquired Microsoft Windows 98SE product recovery CDs and will distribute them while product is available, until 07/31/2005. IBM will continue to provide information regarding system compatibility requirements which may be necessary for upgrading legacy operating systems. |
