TouchPad driver for Windows XP - 3000 C200, N100

This package installs an updated Microsoft Windows XP Synaptics TouchPad driver. The Synaptics TouchPad driver enables or updates the Touchpad function of the Synaptics TouchPad.

  • (Fix) The defect that cannot save a setup of TouchPad setting is fixed. The defect that cannot overwrite silent install is fixed.

Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows XP and log on with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the Synaptics Touch Pad files to the hard drive. When downloaded file is extracted in the local drive, it is located in C:\DRIVERS\TCHPSY directory by the default.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. In the Open field, type 'C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TCHPSY\SETUP.EXE'. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  5. Click OK to start the installation process.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Unattended install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
  1. Start Windows XP, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. Type 'C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TCHPSY\SETUP.EXE -S'

Uninstallation instructions
  1. Start Windows XP, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Select Synaptics Pointing Device Driver then click Remove.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Open the Synaptics Touch Pad control panel and go to "Device Settings". The verison number of the driver is displayed
