- (New) Initial release for the 3000 V100
- Start Windows XP and log on with administrative privileges.
- Extract the Synaptics Touch Pad files to the hard drive. When downloaded file is extracted in the local drive, it is located in C:\DRIVERS\TCHPSY directory by the default.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- In the Open field, type 'C:\DRIVERS\TCHPSY\SETUP.EXE'. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
- Click OK to start the installation process.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
- Start Windows XP, logon with administrative privileges.
- Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type 'C:\DRIVERS\TCHPSY\SETUP.EXE -S'
- Start Windows XP, logon with administrative privileges.
- Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- Select Synaptics Pointing Device Driver then click Remove.
- Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
- Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
- Click the + sign in front of the Mice and other pointing Devices category.
- Double-click Synaptics Pointing Device.
- Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed.
