Installation instructions
Notes:
  • If any previous or current Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software is already installed on your system, uninstall the software in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel before installation.
  • During the installation, please do not touch the keyboard, the trackpoint, or the mouse.
  • Some of the virtual devices are not installed until you use the Bluetooth software for the first time after the installation process. You may need to wait until the virtual devices installation completes.
  1. Press Fn and F5 at the same time to turn on Bluetooth.
  2. If the "Found New Hardware Wizard" is opened, click Cancel.
  3. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default location is C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\BTOOTH
  4. Click Start, then click Run.
  5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 3, and click OK.
    Example: C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\BTOOTH\SETUP.EXE
  6. In the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software" window, click Next.
  7. In the "License Agreement" window, read the License Agreement carefully, if you agree then select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
  8. In the Destination Folder window, click Next. (If you need to change the destination, click Change, select or enter the destination folder you like, then click OK.)
  9. In the "Ready to Install the Program" window, click Install.
  10. When the "Driver Signature Notice" window appears, click OK.
  11. When the "InstallShield Wizard Completed" window appears, click Finish.
  12. If you are asked to restart the system, click Yes to restart the computer.

Unattended installation
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. Type C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\BTOOTH\setup.exe /qn /ru /ri
Uninstall instructions
  1. Click Start, select Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Select Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software and click Remove.
  3. In the pop-up message, "Are you sure you want to remove Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software from your computer?", click Yes.
  4. Uninstallation will start.
  5. When a pop-up window appears that request the system restart, click OK.
