Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
  3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
  4. Specify "ATMinInst32.EXE" with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, then click OK.
  5. The device driver will be installed. Click Next.
    • If the message, "An unidentified program wants access to your computer" appears, click Allow.
    • If the message "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" appears , click Install this driver software anyway.
    • If the message "This program might not have installed correctly" appears, click This program installed correctly.
  6. If needed, restart the system.

Unattended install
This is for system administrators use only.
  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
  3. Click Start and open a command prompt.
  4. Specify "silent install "ATMinInst32.msi /quiet /norestart" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, then press Enter.
  5. The device driver will be installed automatically.
    • If the message "Digital Signature Not Found" appears, click OK to continue installing.
  6. If needed, restart the system.

Uninstall instructions
  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. With Windows classic, Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click System, then click Device Manager.
    If the message "Windows needs your permission to continue" appears, click Continue.
  4. Double-Click Personal identification devices.
  5. Right-click AuthenTec Inc.AES2501A, then click Uninstall.
    If the message "Confirm Device Uninstall" appears, check Delete the driver software for this device.
  6. Click OK.
  7. If needed, restart the system.
