SmartCard reader driver for Windows Vista 64-bit - ThinkPad

This package installs the software (Smartcard driver) to enable the following SmardCard reader.

- Integrated Smart Card Reader

The following operating systems are supported:

- Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit

The following systems are supported:

- ThinkPad R61 (*1), R61i*2
- ThinkPad R400, R500
- ThinkPad T400, T500
- ThinkPad T61, T61p
- ThinkPad W500, W700, W700ds
- ThinkPad X200

Notes:
*1: ThinkPad R61 except for the following machine types: 8942, 8943, 8944, 8945, 8947, 8948, 8949
*2: ThinkPad R61i machine types are supported: 8918
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows Vista 64-bit and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it onto the hard drive.
    The default location is C:\DRIVERS\VISTA64\SCREADER
  3. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  4. Click System and Maintenance, click System, then click Device Manager.
  5. Expand the Smart Card Readers category.
  6. Double-click USB Smart Card Reader (Windows driver) or Integrated Smart Card Reader (Lenovo driver).
  7. Click the Driver tab, then click Update Driver Software...
  8. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
  9. Click Browse... then navigate to the driver location.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\VISTA64\SCREADER\LENOVORD_64.MSI
  10. Confirm the Include subfolders checkbox is checked, then click Next.
  11. When prompted with "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to install this driver software?", click Install.
  12. Once the installation has finished, click Close.

Uninstalling the driver
  1. Start Windows Vista 64-bit and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click System and Maintenance, click System, then click Device Manager.
  4. Expand the Smart Card Readers category.
  5. Double-click Integrated Smart Card Reader.
  6. Click the Driver tab.
  7. Click Uninstall.
  8. When prompted, click OK to confirm the operation.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Start Windows Vista 64-bit and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click System and Maintenance, click System, then click Device Manager.
  4. Expand the Smart Card Readers category.
  5. Double-click Integrated Smart Card Reader.
  6. Click the Driver tab.
  7. Verify the driver version matches the one for this file.
