Installation instructions
On another system
  1. On another system, extract this package onto the hard drive.
  2. Connect a USB-Floppy Disk drive or USB-Hard disk drive.
  3. Specify f6flpy32.exe with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 1, and double-click.

On target system
  1. Connect a USB-Floppy Disk driver or USB-Harddisk drive that you used in the above steps on the target system.
  2. Restart with Windows XP SP2 Operating System CD and press F6. The following message is displayed.

    Windows Setup
    Setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to manually specify an adapter. Currently, Setup will load support for the following mass storage devices(s):
    (none)
    * To specify additional SCSI adapters, CD-ROM drives, or special disk controllers for use with Windows, including those for which you have a device support disk from a mass storage device manufacturer, press S.
    * If you do not have any device support disks from a mass storage device manufacturer, or do not want to specify additional mass storage devices for use with Windows, press ENTER.

  3. Press S to specify additional Device. The following message is displayed.

    You have chosen to configure a SCSI Adapter for use with Windows, using a device support disk provided by an adapter manufacturer.
    Select the SCSI Adapter you want from the following list, or press ESC to return to the previous screen.
    Intel(R) 82801HEM SATA RAID Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E)
    Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA ACHI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)
    Intel(R) 82801HR/HH/HO SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH8R)
    Intel(R) 82801HR/HH/HO SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH8R)

  4. Select the "Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA ACHI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)" and Press Enter. The following message is displayed.

    Setup will load support for the following mass storage device(s): Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA ACHI Controller (Mobile ICH8M0E/M)

  5. Press Enterto continue. The following is displayed.

    Welcome to Setup. This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP to run on your computer.

  6. Press Enter to setup Windows XP.
  7. Continue to setup Windows XP according to the indicated messages.
