TrackPoint driver disk I for OS/2 - ThinkPad General

This diskette contains the software support for the PS/2 TrackPoint on OS/2 Warp 4.

The release supports the following models:
- ThinkPad 390, 390E, 390X
- ThinkPad 600, 600E, 600X
- ThinkPad 770, 770E, 770ED, 770X, 770Z
- ThinkPad i Series 1720, 17 21- ThinkPad T20

Notes:
- For earlier versions of the TrackPoint, no special software is needed.

II. Installation instructions
  1. Start OS/2.
  2. Insert the diskette labeled TrackPoint Driver Diskette for OS/2 into the diskette drive.
  3. Open an OS/2 command prompt.
  4. Type " A:\install " and press Enter .
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. If asked to choose a directory for installing the files, select the drive that contains OS/2.
  7. Restart your computer so the changes will take effect.

III. Determine which version is installed
  1. Start OS/2.
  2. Open an OS/2 command prompt.
  3. Type "dir mouse2.sys /s" and Enter.
  4. If "\os2\boot\mouse2.sys" is not found, TrackPoint driver is not installed in your system.
  5. If "\os2\boot\mouse2.sys" is found, the time stamp on the file will be the version number.

For example: 01:02a is version 1.02

IV. National Language Support
Only some drivers will be available in other languages. If you do not see a listing like this for additional languages, then that driver is available in English only. The English driver will work in ALL countries.
