Audio driver for OS/2 - ThinkPad T30, T40, T41, T42, T43/p

This Package provides the audio driver for OS/2 Warp4 users.

This release supports the following IBM systems:
- ThinkPad T30
- ThinkPad T40, T41, T42, T43(*1)

Notes:
- *1: Machine Type 1871,1872,1873,1874,1875 and 1876 of ThinkPad T43 family are not supported.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

II. Installation instructions
  1. Start OS/2 and close all open applications.
  2. Download or move the audio file to a C:\DRIVERS directory. The directory may need to be created.
  3. Open a OS/2 Window and type MINSTALL and press Enter to run the Multimedia Application Install program.
  4. At the Multimedia Presentation Manager/2 - Installation dialog window, change the source directory to C:\DRIVERS\OS2\AUDIO.
  5. When the SoundMax Integrated Digital Wave Audio device appears, select it, then click the Install button.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  7. After the installation is complete, shut down OS/2, and restart the computer.

Note: To remove the audio driver, select zero devices when prompted for the number of devices to install. Selectable choices are 0 and 1.

III. Determining which version is installed
  1. Click the OS/2 System icon on the Desktop.
  2. Click the System Setup icon.
  3. Click the Hardware Manager icon.
  4. Double-click SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio.
  5. Confirm v3.1.8 in the description for ICHCSND.SYS on the Device tab.
