Audio driver for Windows XP - 3000 C200, Lenovo N100

This package provides the SoundMax and Realtek audio drivers for Microsoft Windows XP for the following systems:
- 3000 C200
- Lenovo N100

This driver updates to the following versions:
- SoundMAX Audio Driver Version 5.10.01.4130
- Realtek Audio Driver Version 5.10.0.5464

Notes:
- DirectX 9.0C is required for before installing this audio driver. Visit the following site for more information regarding DirectX and download instructions: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx
- UAA High Definition Audio Class Driver (Article ID 888111) should be installed before installing this package.
- Automatically update drivers with ThinkVantage System Update.

Installation instructions
Notes:
  1. Logon to Windows with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
    The default extract location is
    C:\DRIVERS\Realtek Audio Driver [TR] for XP
  3. Click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify AdDrvLdr.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2 above, and click OK. The device driver wizard will be launched.
  5. When prompted, click Next.
  6. When prompted to restart your system, click Yes, then click Finish.

Unattended install
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only.
  1. Logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
    The default extract location is
    C:\DRIVERS\Realtek Audio Driver [TR] for XP
  3. From a command prompt, navigate to the driver location.
  4. Type AdDrvLdr.EXE -S and press Enter.

Uninstalling the driver
  1. Logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. In the Control Panel window, click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Select SoundMAX or Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. When prompted, click Yes.
  7. When prompted to restart your system, click Yes, then click Finish.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Right click My Computer, then click Properties.
  2. Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
  3. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers category.
  4. Double-click SoundMAX or Realtek High Definition Audio.
  5. Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed.
