- ThinkPad systems with integrated fingerprint reader
- USB fingerprint keyboard
- USB fingerprint reader (part number 73P4774)
Note: This software is not supported on 3000 Family desktops or 3000 Family notebooks with integrated fingerprint reader.

ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software can be installed on any computer with a free USB port running one of the following operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit)
- Microsoft Windows XP Home
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Administrator rights are required to install or uninstall ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software.
- Corrects text shown in verification dialogs used by Client Security Solution
- Fixes behavior of Windows XP logon when a smart card reader is present
- Adds new WHQL signed driver (build 99) for Windows Vista and XP
- Fixes a problem where Control Center is causing "about:blank" warnings on some Web pages
- Adds biometric performance improvements
- Click the file links to download the files from the Web page.
- When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files.
