Note:
For Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) Service Pack 2, it is required to install the ThinkVantage System Update patch before running System Update. For more information click on the link below:

Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 with Service pack 1 or Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 is required for System Update to work Correctly. Use Microsoft Windows Update to ensure that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0 is installed on your system.

1. Click the file links to download the files from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files.
   
   

Uninstall any previous versions of ThinkVantage System Update or IBM Update Connector that are installed on your system. After you have uninstalled any previous versions do one of the following:

1. Click Start, then click Start Search.
2. Type systemupdate314-2009-6-12.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the systemupdate314-2009-6-12.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
5. ThinkVantage System Update will start automatically after installation is complete.
   
   

1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click All Files and folders.
2. Type systemupdate314-2009-6-12.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the systemupdate314-2009-6-12.exe icon.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
