This package updates the BIOS and Embedded Controller program to fix problems, add new functions, and expand functions.
This release supports the following systems: - 3000 N200 (type 0769)
The supported operating systems are as follows: - Microsoft Windows Vista - Microsoft Windows XP Home / Pro Service Pack 2
Notes: - This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. - This BIOS update utility does not run on Windows Vista 64bit environment. |

Notes:
- This BIOS update utility does not run on Windows Vista 64bit environment.
- Remove the Power-on password prior to updating the BIOS in RDM (Remote Deployment Manager) environment or similar environment.
- You need an AC adapter and a charged battery pack to update the BIOS.
- If your computer is attached to any kind of docking station or port replicator, turn off the computer and detach it before proceeding.
- If a USB Diskette Drive is attached to your computer, turn off the computer and detach it before proceeding.
- Print these instructions or display on another computer.
- Firmly connect the AC adapter to the computer.
- Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
- Save this package onto the hard drive.
- For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories then click Run...
For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
- Specify the file name with the full path name where you saved the package. (e.g. C:\DRIVERS\WIN\FLASH\68et37ww\WinPhlash.exe) and then click OK. NOTE: When you run this tool on Vista, right-click and choose "Run as administrator" in advance.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
After the update has been completed, the computer will restart automatically. Do the following to make sure the BIOS is updated correctly.
- Turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer.
- While the "To interrupt normal startup, press the LenovoCare button" message is displayed at the lower-left area of the screen, press the F1 key. The BIOS Setup Utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the correct password.
- Verify the BIOS Version.
- Turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer.
- While the "To interrupt normal startup, press Lenovo Care button" message is displayed at the lower-left area of the screen, press the F1 key. The BIOS Setup Utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the correct password.
- Verify the BIOS Version.
- Turn off the computer.
